Terms and Conditions
All rates are subject to the following:
- The terms and conditions outlined on our schedule of rates and on the reverse of any consignment notes used.
- Insurance is not included. Federal legislation forbids us from providing insurance.
- The enclosed “Account Application Form” being completed, returned to us, and satisfactorily cleared by this office.
- GST (Goods & Services Tax) is not included in the rates. GST will be on charged to you at the legislated rate.
- Fuel Surcharge is not included in the rates and is a variable cost.
- Payment. The customer is responsible to City 2 Coast Transport for all its proper provided by including all administrative charges levied by City 2 Coast Transport P/L, which include but are not limited to fees for fuel levies, road taxes account service fees, photocopying, postage, collection fees, overdue fees and any other costs, expenses & charges incurred by City 2 Coast Transport P/L for the customer) and for other services, facilities and resources provided by City 2 Coast Transport to the customer except where the Consignment Note states that the charges are payable by the Consignee.
- Each transaction Between City 2 Coast Transport and the Customer, forms part of a running account between City 2 Coast Transport and the Customer.
- The Customer must pay to City 2 Coast Transport P/L the full amount of all invoiced amount within 7 days (or as otherwise agreed to by City 2 Coast Transport ) of the date of each invoice.
- Payment Terms. Cash account due immediately, Account invoice shall be due payable 7 days from its date.
- Overdue accounts will incur interest charges per overdraft rates +2%
- It is a requirement that when completing a consignment note that all weights, measurements, descriptions, and classifications are clearly and accurately recorded on the consignment note or download file. It is hereby agreed that if weights and measurements are not recorded at all or is recorded incorrectly on the consignment note, then either City2Coast Transport or its subcontractor can determine these. The determination shall be considered final and binding.
Additional Charges:
Additional charges will be charged for
- Tailgate Delivery
- Hand unload
- Home Delivery
- Futile Pickups / Deliveries
- Over-length
- Excessive Wait Times
- Overweight items
- Over sized items
- A charge of $30.00 per pallet will result for hand unloading of pallets at the delivery (where no mechanical unloading device is available).
- Redeliveries will be charged at an additional freight cost.
- Dangerous Goods. Any dangerous goods sent through this company must comply with all statutory requirements. A surcharge of 50% for carton deliveries and $30.00 for pallet deliveries (added to the quoted rates) will apply to all shipments.
- For deliveries where a tail lift vehicle is supplied for unloading, there is an additional charge of $30 per pallet
- City 2 Coast Transport P/L does not hold a pallet account with any of the pallet hire companies. In situations where pallets must be de-hired to the receivers, we ask that you de-hire the pallets directly. Alternatively, a one for one pallet exchange is available upon request.
- Quoted rates apply only to mainland deliveries. Any deliveries to Islands or isolated communities that cannot be reached by regular Road Transport Vehicles are subject to additional charges.
- The maximum pallet size is a base of 1.2m x 1.2m and 1.8m high with a maximum weight is 800 kg’s.
- A cubic conversion ratio of 250 kilograms per cubic metre applies to all consignments.
- Oversized (out of gauge) freight:
Oversized or out-of-gauge freight (eg uncrated machinery) may attract a cubic conversion factor of 500 kilograms per cubic metre, at City2Coast Transports discretion. - City 2 Coast Transport reserves the right to charge any additional levies or taxes if imposed upon us.
- All quotations are subject to City 2 Coast Transport Management approval.
- You and your company warrants, covenants and agrees upon acceptance of this proposal that unless otherwise agreed with the management of City 2 Coast Transport P/L in writing, that either you or your company will not whilst City 2 Coast Transport P/L provides services to it, or for a period of 12 months after City 2 Coast Transport P/L ceases to provide services for whatever reason, you and your company shall not procure, use or solicit from any Servant, Former Servant, employee, former employee, Subcontractor, or agent of City 2 Coast Transport P/L any services similar to those proposed in this document.
